Volunteer Chef & Instructor
Volunteer chefs and assistants needed on an ongoing basis for Interfaith Food and Farms Partnership (IFFP) cooking classes. If interested, please e-mail awarren@emoregon.org or call (503) 221-1054, ext. 210.

Volunteer Mentors for Cool Congregations
Volunteers are needed to mentor congregations who are participating in the Cool Congregations program. Mentors will check in with Cool Congregations facilitators on a monthly basis by phone or e-mail and be available to answer questions congregations might have about using the carbon calculator, reducing carbon footprints and motivating others to participate in the program. Experience creating change within a congregation, knowledge of sustainable living practices and/or familiarity with computers required. Time commitment will be approximately three hours/month for 15 months. Volunteer mentors are strongly encouraged to attend the Cool Congregations Training on September 12 at a discounted rate. If you are interested in being a mentor, please call (503) 221-1054, ext. 210.

Volunteer Trainers
A team of five to eight people is needed to serve as workshop leaders to train congregational teams to carry out a Cool Congregations program in their congregation. This will be essentially the same format as the September 12 training. On September 13 or 14 we will have a special session for people who want to be trainers with Sarah Webb, the originator of Cool Congregations. We would like to offer the workshops on the Oregon coast, eastern Oregon, southern Oregon and other places in the Willamette Valley in winter and spring 2010. Experience in adult education and training and knowledge of sustainable living practices is required. You must attend the Cool Congregations Training on September 12 as part of your training. You will be eligible for a discounted rate. If you are interested, please call (503) 221-1054, ext. 210.
